Where is the joy?

A spiritual awakening

Should not feel like you're taking a test

It shouldn't feel dreadful

Yet it can feel like that when you dig too deep

Unable to find a way back to the surface

One thing that seems to be abandoned

Is joy

Where is joy in the truth?

There's no one telling you

That your spiritual journey is wrong

But we act that way

Like we've manifested

Someone who stands over us

And never hesitates to punish

Who we are

How we learn

On a journey tailored to our unique souls

Where is the joy?

We experience heartbreak in all forms

That we didn't know existed

Yet it can feel like we're straining to experience joy

Where is it?

It's not in the plant medicine

It's not in the redundant practices

Joy can only be truly experienced

In the present moment

When you are led by the truth of who you are
