No Gold in the Shallow
When there is no depth,
The light shrinks further into the darkness
And the discomfort rises
To where the sunken feeling
Becomes hard to ignore
There is no gold in the shallow,
You attempt to tear apart the monster,
But the monster is a layer of you,
That has been left behind
You can say fear is the culprit,
It's easier to swim in shallow seas,
Than it is to swim in deeper waters
