You seared into my heart

Like an emblem

Resembling a bird rising from the flames

I felt locked inside the galaxy in your eyes,

And yet it didn't feel like I wanted to escape

Your warmth traveled up my toes

And pooled into my heart

Till I felt like my heart had grown a pair of wings

And wanted to break through my chest

The night sparkles on your face

The candlelight follows our tune

As if drawn to us by fate

I couldn't pinpoint exactly when the moonlight

Covered your skin

But I felt a sense of ease

Because you didn't hide in the shadows,
