There’s a darkness that lingers

Despite the glowing light

In between every breath,

I find safety with you

But I know that when the day comes,

Your warmth will thin out like smoke

I spoke from the forbidden dungeon

Because you unlocked it,

A desire swam through the ocean

Every wave drove me in deeper

Until I floated in your gentle arms

Even when among the colorful skies,

I noticed your heart

Through your eyes,

The same eyes that once held a long winter,

Sending shivers down my spine

Your bear hug brought me back

To the same page

Where my heart refused to move,

Like a book that I never wanted to finish

Unspoken yet watches from a far

Waiting until the fantasy ends

You once intimidated me
