Wrapped in your lips,

I see the truth,

A glowing lamp post in the night,

-My exposed depths sit upon a throne

The sea of undoing

You opened the floodgates

And now all I see is you

Like a mesmerizing painting

Catching my attention

Not a fleeting interest,

But a deep ache

For something more

You stretch my capacity

To even think straight

But I like the way you make me feel

Floating in the sea of undoing

You erased the limits

And set me soaring

To both highs and lows

A home that truly felt real

I thought it was normal to endure the pain

To live in my own loneliness

A tower that I subconsciously created

To keep from feeling the harsh ice

Just outside the walls

But your presence woke me up

From a nightmare that I thought I had to live in

But you helped me slowly unravel the pain

To heal one wound at a time

A bubbling foreign substance

Reaches my heart

With an undeniable heat

That took me awhile to decipher

I wanted to run away from your caring nature

Afraid to trust again,

Afraid to find a home that felt truly real

Your cold facade falls

And I see what lies underneath,

A vast open garden

Where every kind of flower thrives

You taught me that I didn't need to be locked in

To a life that slowly withered my heart

The illusion of falling behind

The illusion of falling behind

Feels like a pressure chamber

Filled with air that likes to whisper

That you will never measure up

To what people expect of you

But it is a sneaky trap

That sucks out your vitality

Until you wither inside the shadows

Covered in a thick blanket of regret

When you let the soul navigate,

There is no pressure

No forced performance

No empty pride

But a beautiful forest

Abundant in love and trust

The inferno comes alive

The inferno comes alive,

A wealth of gold travels down the stream,

Dripping with vitality

The feeling reminds me of trapped heat,

Aching to find the surface,

To relieve itself

I let my inner world burn

Not to destroy it,

But to let it be in it's natural form

Unfazed

Unwithered beauty

Puppet Masters

The dark alleyways

Cast their eerie glow

Reminding me of a past

That can never be erased

I felt the bone deep trembling,

As the hands controlling the cards

Weren't my hands

But rather the hands of family

Disguised as puppet masters

Who drew out my fate

The words of protest dies in my throat

While the rise of an insatiable thirst

Keeps me in the game
